Reading – Colossians 3-4

Highlight Verse:

“Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Of all the commands in this chapter, this might be the hardest.

It is so easy to judge others. Even our closest family members will do things that annoy us. Anyone who drives in downtown traffic will find a myriad of reasons to be offended.

And we must forgive each one!

Paul’s not just talking about family members or fellow Christians; He says ANYONE who offends you.

The sooner we realize that almost everyone will do something offensive to us at some point, the sooner we can forgive each one.

Likewise, when we realize how much we offend others, we are more likely to forgive those who offend us.

Are you able to look past the offenses you experience to forgive the offenders?
Can you see your own need for the same forgiveness from others and from God?
