Reading – 1 Kings 4-6
Highlight Verse:
“He could speak with authority about all kinds of plants, from the great cedar of Lebanon to the tiny hyssop that grows from cracks in a wall. He could also speak about animals, birds, small creatures, and fish.”
1 Kings 4:33 NLT
We all know that Solomon was wise, but did you know that he was also smart and well-educated?
We learn this just after learning about his wisdom, wealth, and the amazing peace and prosperity of his kingdom.
What was the source of his wisdom?
He asked for it.
The prosperity that came with that wisdom was just icing on the cake.
Not bad for the son of adulterers.
It’s a hard fact that we cannot all be Solomons. He had some family connections that couldn’t be beat.
But what if we humbly asked for wisdom like Solomon did?
I’m willing to give a try.
Have you ever asked God for wisdom?
How did God answer that prayer?
