Reading – Psalms 19-21

I already wrote about God being the Creator.

But why did God put so much beauty in the world?

If you look outside in much of the country right now, you will see a landscape beautifully softened by a mantle of snow.

If it is nighttime when you read this, step outside and gaze at the stars (if they are visible). Take a moment to take them all in and be in awe of their majestic beauty.

Then step back inside and look at your loved ones, intricately beautiful in body and soul.

Put your favorite music on and let it’s sonic beauty move you.

Take a look at your favorite painting and soak in the art.

Then read your favorite Psalm and let the words take you heavenward.

Do you want to know why I think God created such beauty and enables our artists of every type to create yet more beauty?

I believe it is because He enjoys it. Beauty gives God joy!

Let it give you joy as well. Then let that joy lead you to create more beauty!
