Reading – Psalm 150
Highlight Verse:
“Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord! Praise the Lord!”
Psalms 150:6 NLT
A wise person once told me, “If God gave you a great voice, sing out loud in thanks. If God gave you a terrible voice, sing out louder and get even.”
Okay, maybe it was a wise guy instead of a person of wisdom.
But there’s something to be said for not being afraid to sing out in praise.
It was a camp worship leader who was the “wise guy” I quoted.
After that camp I stopped the quiet or fake singing and sang out loud in worship. I still try to be sensitive to those around me, especially when the song is out of my rather limited vocal range.
But if the worship band is loud or I’m in the car with the windows up and the music cranked, I love to sing at the top of my lungs.
Worship is one thing that blesses both God and us.
While we lift Him up, our spirits also rise.
If you haven’t, give it a try. Seriously, don’t hold back but praise God with all that you have. You won’t regret it!
