Reading – John 15:1-17

I honestly think that Jesus was fun to be around.

I envision He and his disciples joking around, playing games, laughing, just plain having a good time in a righteous manner.

I think I can prove it.

Your see, God gave us the ability to laugh.

He gave us an innate sense of humor that can bring joy to almost any situation.

If God didn’t have a sense of humor, why does the Bible contain so many cases of irony.

I mean within the first few chapters, the murder rate soars to 1 in 4.

A father-in-law sends in the wrong daughter to the groom just so his eldest daughter could be married first.

A donkey rebukes its owner.

Jesus turns water into wine.

God turns our mourning into dancing?
A short guy climbs a tree to see Jesus pass but.

These incidents make it obvious to me that God wants us to enjoy life.

If you think that God doesn’t want us to laugh and enjoy life, stop and take a closer look.
