Reading – 1 Corinthians 12:12-31
Highlight Verse:
“All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.”
1 Corinthians 12:27 NLT
Tomorrow is the second Sunday of Lent.
The local church that I am a part of doesn’t really pay attention to the liturgical calendar, but I grew up in a more traditional denomination.
While I don’t give this season as much weight as some, I see the value in a time of focus on devotion to God.
Many fast, spend extra time in prayer, and come together to worship.
Having been a part of ministries from several different traditions,
I love it when I see people from different denominations come together.
The Night to Shine a couple weeks ago was a great example.
I’ve managed to join a simpler example.
I work for a major corporation with tens of thousands of employees around the world.
It even has its own internal social network for people of like interests.
Out of that network has grown a group with a handful of Christian employees from across the US and from various denominations who come together online once a week during Lent to pray.
We may come from different traditions, but we all have the desire to see the Gospel spread around the world and among our fellow employees.
I pray that these different parts of the Body may be used to help bring about a revival among the employees!
How have you seen the Body of Christ at work within your workplace?
What advice would you give to those who want to see the Gospel spread at their place of work?
Will you join us in praying for that?
