Reading – Philippians 3:12-21
Highlight Verses:
“No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.”
Philippians 3:13-14 NLT
Does this sound familiar?
Last week I highlighted verse 13 speaking of how we were challenged at church to find one word to focus on this year.
I spent most of this week trying to change the word that kept dominating my prayer time –
Focus.
I finally concluded that the Lord wanted me to focus on “focus”.
I am easily distracted.
It has taken me far too long to progress on what I believe God has called me to – specifically writing.
I believe God would have me focus my efforts on growing in my spiritual strength, reliance on God, and the art of writing.
My goal is to create writing that will bring the most lasting impact to those around me and beyond.
I am convinced that if I bring my best to this effort and rely on the Holy Spirit for guidance and power, by God’s grace, I will achieve this goal.
What is your focus on?
How will that focus bring maximum impact?
