Reading – Psalm 40-42
Highlight Verse:
“O Lord my God, you have performed many wonders for us. Your plans for us are too numerous to list. You have no equal. If I tried to recite all your wonderful deeds, I would never come to the end of them.”
Psalms 40:5 NLT
Yesterday we looked at God’s creative power.
But His power goes far beyond that.
His miracles go far beyond creating the whole world.
David, who wrote this Psalm saw many wonders.
• He saw deliverance from wild animals.
• He saw protection from King Saul.
• He saw Goliath defeated.
• He saw his anointing as King.
• He saw prophecies about his heir, Jesus.
Miracles existed in Old Testament times and David recognized their source.
We would do well to remember that we worship the all-powerful God who is the same today and yesterday and forever.
What wonders have you seen God perform in your life?
Have you worshipped God for them?
