Reading – Proverbs 30
Highlight Verse:
“Who but God goes up to heaven and comes back down? Who holds the wind in his fists? Who wraps up the oceans in his cloak? Who has created the whole wide world? What is his name—and his son’s name? Tell me if you know!”
Proverbs 30:4 NLT
I like science.
However, I have a problem with modern academia’s approach to science.
It starts with the assumption that there is no God.
Or at least, no Creator.
Never mind the fact that simply acknowledging the existence of God could explain so many facts that make no sense without God.
Instead, secular scientists bend the evidence to fit a mold of secularism.
I am not a hard-line young Earth advocate, though I do think the majority of evidence when looked at without the secular bias points to a young Earth.
I do find it appalling that science education in the United States has been allowed to exclude the possibility of God even though studies show that over 80% of Americans believe in God.
In many school districts, teachers who acknowledge God are shunned and fired, especially if they are teaching science.
What would happen if our education system were open to the possibility of God?
It’s quite possible that it would not make much difference in the number of people who believe in God.
I don’t think revival is going to come through the education system but through a move of the Holy Spirit.
The one certain effect is that it would allow people to be honest.
That seems like a pretty good outcome to me.
Do you think God should be included in the study of science?
What effect do you think that would have?
Reminder – please stay polite. This is not a political forum but a place to explore faith.
I will not take a political stand in this forum, but I will always stand up for God.
