Reading – Luke 20

Highlight Verse:

“And they will never die again. In this respect they will be like angels. They are children of God and children of the resurrection.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭20‬:‭36‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I love the movie “It’s a Wonderful Life” but it is not theologically correct.

People do not become angels when they get to heaven.

This verse reinforces that fact. You cannot be like an angel if you are one.

There are other verses (Col 1:16, Job 38:4-7) that deal with where angels come from.

In a nutshell, they were created in the beginning to help us humans.

I do not know the details of what we will do in heaven besides seeing God face to face and worshipping Him.

But if we get to be like the angels in some ways, that sounds pretty cool to me.

What ever it is like and whatever we get to do, I know it will be amazing!
