Reading – Job 19-20

Highlight Verses:

““But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and he will stand upon the earth at last. And after my body has decayed, yet in my body I will see God!”
‭‭Job‬ ‭19‬:‭25‬-‭26‬ ‭NLT‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

In case you were wondering if Job was losing his faith in God by blaming Him for his suffering in verses 6-12, he wasn’t.

Job did voice his frustration.

I’ve mentioned in the past that it is okay to be frustrated, even angry with God.

He can handle it.

But don’t let that anger or frustration fester or get in the way of your faith.

Job basically said that he blamed God for his suffering, but he still trusted God.

Of course, he was wrong in placing the blame on God, but he was right in being overwhelmed with the thought of meeting Him face to face in heaven.

Regardless of our current circumstances, if we trust in Jesus, we will meet Him face to face.

If that thought is not overwhelming, you haven’t thought about it too deeply.

No matter how many times you pray and how clearly you may think you hear Him,

nothing will compare with meeting Jesus face to face.

Let’s dwell on that today.

What is the first thing that you think you will say to Jesus when you meet Him face to face?
What do you think the likelihood of remembering that first thing is when you actually meet Him? (personally, I think I’ll be speechless).
