Reading – Zephaniah 3

Highlight Verse:

“On that day I will gather you together and bring you home again. I will give you a good name, a name of distinction, among all the nations of the earth, as I restore your fortunes before their very eyes. I, the LORD, have spoken!””

Some would say that this is only about the Israelites who remained faithful.

I would say the principles still apply today.

Some would say those principles only apply to Heaven.

I would say that God meant these words for the Israelites while they were still here on Earth, so the principles apply also to us while we live in this world.

Don’t worry. I’m not going all “prosperity theology” on you.

But just because some preachers take these principles out of context and focus their whole theology around them doesn’t mean that God can’t bless us here on Earth.

Living a life of integrity has its natural blessings as we cultivate relationships and use wisdom in financial decisions.

That does not guarantee financial blessings, but God will reward faithful people who walk in integrity with the blessings of strong relationships, clear conscience, and the joy that comes with contentment.

If that sounds good to you, seek God and follow His guidance with faithfulness.
