Reading – Revelation 14

Highlight Verses:

“And I saw another angel flying through the sky, carrying the eternal Good News to proclaim to the people who belong to this world—to every nation, tribe, language, and people. “Fear God,” he shouted. “Give glory to him. For the time has come when he will sit as judge. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and all the springs of water.””
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭14‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭NLT‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

It sounds like God’s got evangelism covered for the whole world so why do we bother?

Where do I begin to answer that?

First and foremost, if the Gospel really is Good News to us, how can we keep it in?

Like any good news, we should want to share it with as many as we can so they can share in this joy!

Only a cruel person would want to make someone wait until that angel appears to tell them.

Second, if all the world sees of us is cold-hearted selfish people who don’t share their best news, they won’t want to have anything to do with something we believe when that angel comes around.

Sharing the Gospel and the love of Jesus may just be one step in a person’s journey to faith. But it is a step we should never skip.

Finally, sharing or faith is something we are commanded to do.

We should want to share the Gospel out of sheer joy and love.

But if we have any shred of hesitation or doubt,

the Great Commission in Matthew 28 should remove any question of whether or not to share our faith.

I, for one, am excited that the angel described here will be reaching “every nation, tribe, language, and people.”

But I still can’t keep the good news in. I want to share it till my dying breath.

How do you envision the angel reaching every nation, tribe, language and people?
What are you doing in the meantime to share the Good News of Jesus?
