Reading – Zechariah 1-2

Highlight Verse:

“The land of Judah will be the LORD’s special possession in the holy land, and he will once again choose Jerusalem to be his own city. Be silent before the LORD, all humanity, for he is springing into action from his holy dwelling.””
‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭2‬:‭12‬-‭13‬ ‭NLT‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

And the world is still watching Israel.

In case you’re wondering, no, the guy posing as a second coming of Jesus did not win the Prime Minister position nor did his Gan Eden party win any Knesset seats.

But then, no party won a majority, and Israel is in a place of political turmoil.

So, is God working through and from Israel right now?

My honest answer is I don’t know.

It is always a good idea to keep an eye on what is happening in Israel.

But I think that misses an important application of this passage for us today.

Remember where God’s holy dwelling is now.

It is in you and me and every believer who has welcomed Jesus as their Savior.

We need to allow Him to spring into action through us.

So, the next time you wonder where Jesus is going to affect history next, ask Him if He can use you to change history.

How important do you think Israel is in the Lord’s actions today and in the end times?
How close do you think we are to the end times?
How do you think God will take action through us as His dwelling place?
