Reading – Revelation 15
Highlight Verse:
“And they were singing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb: “Great and marvelous are your works, O Lord God, the Almighty. Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations.”
Revelation 15:3 NLT
I love music.
Apparently, so does God. It shows up all throughout the Bible.
I wish I was more talented musically.
I used to be good at mixing live sound, but as technology has advanced and my ears have declined, I leave that to the next generation.
But I can still sing and encourage others to do so.
I can even be the ridiculous looking old man doing all the kid song motions with children’s church.
Music stirs the emotions and makes worship more memorable and deep.
I believe it also brings joy to God.
I always say, “if God gave you an awesome voice, sing out loud and thank Him for it. If God gave you a horrible voice sing out louder and get even.”
But then, as a dad, I love to hear the sound of my children’s voices even if they miss a note.
I think God is happy to hear all our voices and loves it when we worship Him.
What is your favorite musical style?
