Highlight Verse:
““God forbid that I should drink this!” he exclaimed. “This water is as precious as the blood of these men who risked their lives to bring it to me.” So David did not drink it. These are examples of the exploits of the Three.”

These men risked their lives for their king and their country.
And David rewarded their loyalty with his.
I know there are those who will argue the evils of war.
I’m not here to argue about that.

Next Wednesday is Veteran’s Day here in the US.
It is a day to honor those who have served us in the military and thank them for their sacrifice.
We who have never served in the military owe our lives and our freedoms to them.
If you have that day off, it may be tempting to relax all day.
I challenge you to be sure to express your gratitude to those you know who have served.
At the very least, fly a flag and post your thanks on social media.
Have you served in the military? If so, have people expressed their gratitude to you?
Please let us know who you are so we can thank you and honor you here.
